Description
According to discussion on the RPi firmware issues fbtft_device is no more (since 2019?). Not sure what's replacing it but it's still working in the RPi kernel, at least until they switch to DTS managed TFTs.

This was done automatically on the update to the most recent kernel (6.x). We now use the fbtft driver, which is a front end to display specific drivers that also utilize DT overlays. This is working fine with the lcdshow package.
