Bug #860
closed
No camera video displayed on console
Added by Hammel about 3 years ago.
Updated about 3 years ago.
Description
Not positive but I think it's because there are lots of new video devices being loaded by the latest upstream firmware (dtb's).
I know bcrmXXXX_isp and _codec add video drivers with high suffix numbers. I need to test by taking these out manually first and then launching picam from the terminal app.
- Status changed from New to In Progress

Next test from fresh install played the video but wouldn't exit from it with ESC.

This issue is fixed when used with an HDMI display. The problem was app (picam) related, not with omxplayer.
Need to test with a pisentry build to see if things are still working on the TFT display.

Problem with TFT was that picam changes that called raspi2fb had been lost with my desktop's death. I've reimplemented those and tested. picam works fine on TFTs now.
All changes committed and pushed.
Closing issue.
