Description
There should be a simple library to handle message reception with message sending convenience functions. This will unify apps messaging so they operate in the same way and can avoid collision/conflicts.

See RM #549. That's a start though it's likely there may be more need for this.

This doesn't seem to be a pressing issue with apps. Since what I have now seems to suffice I'm going to close this issue. It can be re-opened or a new issue created if a need arises for API updates.
