This could be used in the travel trailer without using XBMC, the XBMCbox appears to have TVHeadend capability (if not actually enabled in the default build).

This really isn't needed. It's easier to just plug a digital antenna (or cable) into a switch box that takes the RPi as input too, then switch between inputs for the TVs. No need for trying to implement a tuner front end.

Rejecting as won't implement.
