A tool is required for configuring the network interface. The tool should be a wrapper over ifconfig and iwconfig that allows setting manual network configurations or enable and disable DHCP. It should support the configuration of a proxy as well.

There may be existing stand along applications that could be used for this. If so, GTK+ based tools are preferred simply because MJHammel knows C better than C++ (but I could be talked out of that). It should be possible for the tool to be themed based on the Matchbox theme.
