Found a simple smb.conf file configuration that works perfectly with ES File Explorer on my Android phone to share media files from USB sticks on the PiBox Media Server. Woohoo!

Simplistic config is attached. Probably not secure but it's at least a working prototype. It will be pushed upstream shortly.

This file is being added to the skeleton directory for the PiBox Development Platform. It exposes /media as read-only for all guests.
PiBox - Feature #248: Configure Samba so Android can mount media from PiBox Media Serverhttps://redmine.graphics-muse.org/issues/248?journal_id=8672013-11-24T20:17:40ZHammelmjhammel@graphics-muse.org

This appears to work but the USB stick doesn't automount when inserted on a new build because /media was missing. That's a different issue.
